Months of design and testing went into the ISO disc hubset. They had to be as durable as the Universal Disc hubs, only lighter and ISO-Hayes specific. During the development process King adapted their machines to use larger bar stock when they make the hub shells. This manufacturing improvement allowed them to increase the spoke flange diameter significantly. A larger spoke flange spreads the spoke holes away from each other |
Also, you can use shorter spokes to build a more
durable, stiffer and stronger wheel. For the
discriminating cross country rider or the downhiller who
likes his bike parts light. Like all
of their other hubs, these carry a 5 year warranty.
These hubs share all the same internals as the Universal
Disc hubs. Yup, you could put your old King disc hub
guts right into these new shells.
Heavy duty option: For those riders
who want the additional stiffness and holding power of a
bolt on axle - the rear Universal hub is now available
with a bolt on axle and stainless steel drive shell. The
bolt on axle allows the use of either the FunBolts or
the QR adapters for maximum versatility.
