The Spider was the first "Intense" production VPP bike frames, conceived in 2001 with a development time of 2 years, first production in spring of 2003. The tube and machine parts were designed for "cross country-use. The geometry is specific for XC racing.
The torque-sensitive VPP system balances the downward movement of the rider with an equal and opposing upward force on the frame.
