What would a major crankset redesign be without the front derailleur to go with it. Since Shimano brought the advanced Hollowtech chainring to Ultegra, it was time for a new front derailleur. A new wide inner link with two pivots helps to increase rigidity, optimizing the shifting performance gained from the chainring.
